The Home School Instruction Statute requires parents to provide “evidence of progress” at the end of the school year. Parents may either submit the results of a nationally normed standardized test or a written evaluation that stipulates the child has made adequate education progress.
Evaluations: done by zoom or in person in a laid back fashion (no stress)
Preparations: Gather a couple examples (math, writing, language) of your student’s work. Elementary through middle school students can pick a book they like to read to me. High school should bring me transcripts if you have them.
Cost: $40 per child
